ARTIST BIO

Artist Heath Johnson is based in Melbourne, making his artworks in his home studio.  His resin paintings focus on movement and the flowing image, predominantly with abstract, ocean themes.

Heath is a self-taught artist and has experimented with different mediums for over 14 years. Whilst his passion is in resin artwork, his trade is carpentry. Incorporating his trade creatively into his passion has allowed Heath to focus skillfully on sustainability and up-cycling raw and locally sourced materials. He uses these skills to make his own canvases and often frames his own artwork, making each piece more unique and transforming the ordinary into something beautiful.

Having been in a few galleries and sold a number of commissioned pieces across Melbourne, Heath would like to show  his work is snows in order to expand his potential and to be more accessibleacross Australia. By branching out this way he wishes to continue on his journey whilst progressing creatively and improving on all mediums.
