Wilani van Wyk-Smit is a Yarra Valley based contemporary artist and creative director of her graphic and web development studio Wildeye. Her creative career spans over more than 20 years and her work is held in local and international collections.
Her artistic endeavours extend to drawing, painting, screen printing, photography, multimedia and animation. She has produced creative work for a variety of patrons including corporate, environmental, not-for-profit and government organisations.
Wilani has been involved in numerous volunteer and mentor roles, managed large scale projects, crafted and executed several grant applications and presented various workshops on creative thinking.
“I am interested in cycles of insight and perception. How one observation affects the next is a continuing source of fascination for me. The intent is for my art to communicate a message that is not always fully seen or felt at first glance, but reveals itself as life unfolds.”
